![]() State Event Calendar April - October, Waterfire Providence Sixty bonfires illuminate the waters of the Providence River during this magical outdoor event. Created by award-winning artist Barnaby Evans, Waterfire Providence graces the newly reclaimed Providence riverfront with an exhilarating combination of music and light. Stroll along cobbled riverbank walkways leading to Waterplace park, or paddle a canoe or kayak on the river itself as the dramatic fires dance atop the water and fill the air with the rich scent of burning cedar logs.
