April - October, Waterfire Providence
Sixty bonfires illuminate the waters of the Providence River during this magical outdoor event. Created by award-winning artist Barnaby Evans, Waterfire Providence graces the newly reclaimed Providence riverfront with an exhilarating combination of music and light. Stroll along cobbled riverbank walkways leading to Waterplace park, or paddle a canoe or kayak on the river itself as the dramatic fires dance atop the water and fill the air with the rich scent of burning cedar logs. Music, reflecting a variety of cultures and rhythms, reverberates from Venetian-style bridges. Waterfire typically occurs every other Saturday evening and night. For information call: (401) 272-3111

July 16-18, 29th Annual South County Heritage Seafood Festival
Held at Marina Park. Live bands, lobster dinners, chowder & clam cakes, arts & crafts, children's rides and puppet shows. Sponsored by the South Kingstown Lions.

September 9-12, The Gravity Games
This inaugural sports, lifestyle and music festival sponsored by NBC Sports and EMAP Petersen, Inc., will debut in Providence, RI. Athletes will compete in seven "adrenaline-based" sports including bicycle stunt, inline skating, skateboarding, street luge, wakeboarding and freestyle motorcross competitions contested on innovative downhill, vertical and street courses. The Gravity Games will also offer top prize money and feature a multi-faceted interactive festival environment with lifestyle components from music and fashion to food and film. October 30, Halloween, Harvest, and Holly Happening
Tiverton, Amicable Congregational Church. A fun-filled day featuring a wide variety of holiday crafts, baked goods, local produce, and a 'Tea Room' serving sandwiches, beverages and desserts. Prizes awarded to all participants in children's Halloween costume parade. Turkey dinner served at 6 p.m.
