July 14, Bastille Day Celebration
An upscale event with a French flavor. Entertainment provided by The Toledo Jazz Symphony and the Toledo Opera, as well as ballet dancers, can-can dancers, mimes, a magician, and character artists. July 14-17, Laurelville Fireman’s Festival
Main St. midway with lots of rides, games, tons of free entertainment and great food. If you get hungry, the firemen themselves put on the absolute best fish fry known to man at their fish booth, while next door you’;; find a booth featuring delicious homemade pies. July 21-24, Pickerington’s Violet Festival
Celebrates Pickerington’s role as the Violet Capitol of Ohio. This event provides arts and crafts, carnival rides and games, a queen’s pageant and live entertainment. The central theme is the violet flower. For information call: (614)834-2717

July 24, Moonlight Tour
Enjoy a leisurely canoe ride down the Hocking River. Your trip starts as the sun sets and ends back a the livery after dark where a roaring bonfire and marshmellow roast awaits you. At this special hands-on event, visitors are invited to participate in the construction of a small log building. The use of important hand tools will also be explained and demonstrated. September 1-4, 53rd Annual Sweet Corn Festival
The festival has something for the whole family, featuring freshly prepared hot butter-flavored sweet corn on the cob along with a wide variety of food, three entertainment stages, large midway, parade, queen’s pageant, dancing, contests and a variety of live music. Selected "Best Traditional Crafts Show" in the nation in 1994 by Sunshine Artist Magazine and selected as one of two Special Events for the State of Ohio by Rand McNally in 1998.
